Volcano Village is a rather affluent little village, with a strong sense of community, hidden behind the forest along Highway 11. Volcano Village has a couple of gas stations, a hardware store, a general store, post office, several art galleries and some of the best restaurants and Bed and Breakfasts on the island.  Volcano Golf and County Club consists of an 18 hole golf course, club house and residential subdivision. The Volcano Winery is behind the golf course.
