The Hawaiian Shores, Hawaiian Shores Recreational Estates (HSRE), Hawaiian Parks and Hawaiian Beaches subdivisions which are collectively referred to as the Hawaiian Beaches area are all unique to rural Hawaii because their lots are on paved roads and have all utilities available, including “piped in” water (as opposed to catchment) provided by the Miller & Leib Water Company (808-965-9882 ).  Another real plus for this area is that the subdivisions run right to the ocean, so there are ocean front lots and many reasonable priced lots within a short walk to the ocean.

 The Hawaiian Beaches area is located in the Puna District on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii to the Hilo side of Nanawale Estates and less than three miles from historic Pahoa Village.  The Hawaiian Beaches area is 15 miles from Keaau, one of the fastest growing areas in the State of Hawaii, and approximately 25 miles from Hilo, the second largest city in the State. Within an approximate15 mile radius one can find the tide pools and warm ponds of Kapoho and the surfing beach and boat ramp at Pohiki. Beautiful black sand Kehena beach is within the same distance.
